Long time no see Lolitas!

I hope you don't mind me dropping in. I joined this group a few years ago and I really fell out of Lolita because I was busy.  But I'd like to try and get back into it. c: I'm still very new to Lolita, but as creepy as it is I often see you guys at conventions admiring from a far. -you all look lovely btw- I really hope none of you remember me..i was...awful.

But anyway, I hope to make a better impression and brush up on Lolita!
As I said I'm new and haven't yet purchased a whole outfit. I did buy a lovely apron and wig, but I'm looking to invest in a nice petticoat. However I'm worried about bad sellers/fabrics.

Does anyone know where to get a good petticoat? Maybe some tips on how do keep them nice and fluffy?
I really like bell shaped dressed so something good for those would be great.

Hello! I am also really new, and on a side note I doubt anyone would dislike you just because you were 'awful' at lolita, everyone is really nice in this community and I don't have the best outfits either starting out, but everyone was really nice to me and helped me :)

As for a petticoat, I would recommend (for a bell shape) http://clobbaonline.com/index.php?p=1_48 either of the top two. I own the first one, and am planning on buying the other, more poofy one. I however LOVE poof, stock image brand poof is my goal, and maybe you wouldn't like so much! If so I would go with the top, less poofy one. Also, I don't know how familiar you are with taobao and shopping services, which is why this is the easy way to go if you are a beginning at those things :) Clobba is a ltitle pricier though because you don't have to go through those steps with them.

The only set back is ordering via taobao, or clobba/qutieland, will take almost a month to ship to you probably :( I am not experienced in transforming a-line petti's into cupcake though, but if you want to settle for something a little more a-line (and cheaper) you can go with http://www.ebay.com/itm/S01-BALLET-PAGEANT-DANCE-HOLIDAY-PETTISKIRTS-TUTUS-BLACK-4-16-YEARS-/170762488902?pt=US_Childrens_Clothing_Girls&var=&hash=item27c23ccc46 something from this shop, the 20 dollar pettis are huge (I am buying one in the next month as well haha) and the 10 dollar ones available from the same store are not as poofy, I also have one of these and with a little layering I like the look :)

Hope to see you at a meet-up soon!

Also, we use the Coloradogothiclolita facebook group now for almost all event planning that I'm aware of, so go join it! :)

I second this ebay seller - I bought a petticoat from them last summer (not sure which, as they only had one style at the time...I'm guessing it's the now-$20 one, although I spent less on it) and it is FANTASTIC. I usually layer it with a crappy Bodyline petticoat for medium-high poof, and with my ooold Malco Modes petticoat for extreme poof.

Ohh~ Yes these are lovely. I love super poofy skirts. c: Just like a cupcake ♥ Thankyou very much!
Sorry about the screening thing, I'm not sure what that was all about, heh.

Oh yes I just joined the Facebook group thank you for telling me. :u:

yes, actually I don't think Dear celine sells those petti's via their taobao store anymore, so Clobba might be the only place to grab one. They go out of stock often for the super huge one, so I'll probably get one by the end of the month haha! Hope to see you at the next meet up!
